ROAD SAFETY PROGRAMME – CITIZENS MARCH ORGANISED
The Road Safety Week programme which begun on Jan 8th, 2018 saw a Citizen's march today starting at 11.00 am from Sir Dorabji Tata Park to the Gopal Maidan. The aim was to spread the message of safety awareness amongst all.
The march was led by Mr Suraj Kumar, IAS, DDC, Jamshedpur and Mr Prabhat Kumar, IPS, SP (City). Other dignitaries present were Mr.Sanjiv Paul, VP Safety, Health & Sustainability , Tata Steel, Mr.Ashish Mathur, MD ( JUSCO) , Mr.Tarun Daga, MD(TCIL), Mrs.Ruchi Narendran Chairperson SAFE and Mr.Ashok Bhalotia, President Chamber Of Commerce.
The participants included school students, teachers, SAFE club members, representatives of social organisations like Lions International, Chamber of Commerce, Varishtha Nagrik Sangh, Andhra Association, Jaiswal Samaj and others.
On reaching Gopal Maidan students from various schools staged a Safety ramp walk while Students from Baldwin School performed a safety drill. The gathering was addressed by Mr Suraj Kumar, IAS, DDC, Jamshedpur and Mr Sanjiv Paul, VP Safety, Health & Sustainability, Tata Steel. A Vote of thanks was proposed by Mr Ashish Mathur, MD(JUSCO).
